I finally ovulated! Who knows maybe this cycle will work, as my acupuncture guy says "the natural way". It cracks me up that he talks freely about my eggs, periods, my husband's sperm count, but will not even say the word sex. So of course, I have to get very blunt for him. After I told him I was ovulating, he started talking about how we should try the natural way, so I told him we had already had sex this morning.

Be brutally honest is my spiritual gift :)

Quick and dirty restaurant reviews:
Spezie: Not good. Overpriced, even for restaurant week. I would have been seriously pissed to have paid $55 for my meal. Nothing we ordered was spectacular-- I had the lamb, my husband had the fish. Mine was undercooked and still tough. By far, the best thing we ate all night was the bread. I swear I have had better tiramasu in our favorite sushi place. (Sushi place serves Italian desserts-- they are all prepackaged, but damn they are good). I found it very interesting how many of the tables were empty considering: it was saturday night of restaurant week and they had just been reviewed (favorably) in the Post the week before.

Bangkok 54: My new favorite Thai Place. Cool interior, great staff. And the food was incredible! I ordered off of their seasonal menu and had shrimp and butternut squash in a panang-like sauce with the delicious, nutty brown rice. I started with a ginger mango margarita and it was great. Most mango margarita are too syrupy to drink, but the addition of ginger really balanced it. I wish I was in the mood/able to drink more- they had several drinks that I really wanted to try. We will be back soon.
