In the past 24 hours we have:
1. Bought a car? Uh, yeah, still not sure how this happened. My husband went in to get his car serviced and found out it would be close to $2000 worth of work. We started talking and I really didn't want to put that much money into a car that was losing value quickly and would require another $1000 in work in the next year. Since he was at the dealership, we started looking around at new cars. He bought the same car, just a newer version. Looks cool and is very sensible. Let us all pray that he gets a good raise next month or things are going to be tighter around here than I want them to be.
2. Drank a great bottle of champagne (got to love costco!). Which led to me telling my husband to wake me up at midnight :).
3. Cook a yummy meal for dinner:
Wilted spinach salad with homemade vinaigrette and pecan encrusted fresh mozzarella
Mediterranean chicken with tomatoes, feta stuffed olives and artichoke hearts
Made from scratch chocolate mini cupcakes-- the devirginizing experience for my kitchenaid.
4. Went on a cool 3 mile hike near Camp David. I am going to be in pain tomorrow, stretching would have been a smart idea.
5. Ate at Cracker Barrel. Nobody makes better hashbrowns. Nobody.
6. Napped on the couch with two dogs and a husband-- good thing we are short and they are little.
7. Celebrated my dog's 5th birthday. He is currently sniffing his doggy girlfriend's butt-- I would say that makes it a great day for him.

What we need to do:
Get the Christmas tree out of the house.
Eat blacked-eyed peas for good luck.
Clean up the kitchen after last night's escapades.
