are we talking crafty/artsy stuff? -salt dough is a fun one -vanilla pudding + food color for toddler friendly finger paints -E likes collaborating, and I try to do seasonally relevant pictures with her, like for fall I drew a tree with barren braches, and she colored in the leaves. For winter I drew snowmen, and she drew in faces, etc. Um, that's all I can think of other than usual coloring, play-doh etc. I'm not a super crafty person even though I'd like to be. One day!
What great ideas! Thanks so much...I am definitely using your collaborative drawing idea. Do you want me to link to your blog? Can I credit you as "amyawesome" or would you like to remain anonymous?
Lauren was always clamouring to use my good craft supplies. I finally decided she *could* use my rubber stamps but for easy(er) cleanup, I let her use them sans ink pad now. She has washable markers and I showed her how to quickly colour the image and stamp. So easy.
That reminds me - we're doing a mini card-crop here, Lauren and I and my friend and her five year old. I'll have the paper pre-cut, and have lots of embellishments for them to add as well as stamps to use to make Valentine's Day cards for their classmates. I don't need to buy anything either - between my supplies and her craft stuff, we're set. If you need supplies, $ stores are usually excellent.
